I am a Larry and I have mixed feelings about the name. I worry that it is a bit goofy or unserious and I picture a fat unkempt guy even though I am not that. I do like that it is unusual. I appreciate the comments. Although some are along the lines of my concerns a fair number of people were quite positive about it. I have thought about switching to something else but I'm too old now. Let's say late middle age.
Modesto "Larry" Dulay Itliong (1913-1977), also known as "Seven Fingers", was a Filipino-American labor organizer. He organized West Coast agricultural workers starting in the 1930s, and rose to national prominence in 1965, when he, Philip Vera Cruz, Benjamin Gines and Pete Velasco, walked off the farms of area table-grape growers, demanding wages equal to the federal minimum wage, that became known as the Delano grape strike. He has been described as "one of the fathers of the West Coast labor movement." He is regarded as a key figure of the Asian American movement.
I think Larry would make a good girl's name. I have it as a nickname from my name Mary, and I find it cute and fun. Also it’s very easy for people to pronounce.
Just because YOUR name is feminine and rhymes with another name doesn't mean the other name is also feminine. Larry is a masculine name. I can't picture this name on a girl.
I love this name - it’s sweet sounding, yet very masculine. Not very common, not too long - just right.

When I hear Larry I think about fairies... I guess because I knew a Larry and his nickname was Larry fairy, he was short... real short and so perky and happy, would do anything for you like a fairy. That, and well... it rhymes.
In 2018, 63 is the most common age for an American (U.S.) Larry* who is registered male with the Social Security Administration. It is the 66th most common male first name for living U.S. citizens. *as a first name, not a nickname.
Larry sure doesn't remind me of some fat old guy. I actually love the name Larry. It is very cute and great. I think you are overreacting or making yourself hate that name. Just give it up. Larry is a cute name.

Reminds me of Larry The Cable Guy, who played Larry Guthrie in my favorite movie Tooth Fairy 2. He proved in that movie that real men can wear any amount of pink.
It reminds me of a tall, funny, old guy who who tells bar jokes to his best friends Fred and Mort. I somehow cannot imagine Laurence Olivier ever going by 'Larry'! He is so dignified yet dramatic. Not like a Larry at all.
This is my dad's name. It will always remind me of him. To me, it sounds old, not something I'd expect or want to see on a young child or teenager, or even someone who is in their 20s or 30s.
Larry makes me think of some mischievous, yet lovable guy. Nice name.

Once again this name is a lot like Garry, it's better but not by much. Again, fat guy, boring, boring again, no sense of humour. The "arry" is the part I hate.
I think Larry is a very funny name because of all the comical connotations I have with it, such as Larry the Cucumber and Larry the Croc from "Pearls Before Swine". However, if I met someone named Larry, I might have to resist the urge to say "You're killin' me, Larry!" because of that matress commercial.
This name is borne by novelist and screenwriter Larry McMurtry (born June 3, 1936). His well-known screenplays include "The Last Picture Show" (1971), for which he won a BAFTA Award, and "Brokeback Mountain" (2005), for which he won an Academy Award, BAFTA Award, and Golden Globe Award. He is also the author of the Lonesome Dove saga, the first, "Lonesome Dove", won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.
We don't hear this name often used here in the UK, which is a pity, look at much under-rated but brilliant Rock siner Larry Atello, not to mention Google co-owner Larry Page, (highly intelligent and rich, what more could a woman want from her man?)

I'd never trust a guy whose name was Larry.

Larry Burkette (d. 2005) was the founder and president of Crown Financial.
I can't believe nobody has yet to put Larry King on here! He's that news reporter who has his own news show "Larry King Live." His real name is Lawrence Harvey Zeiger.
