My name is Judy. Growing up I hated my name. I felt it was old school. As I have gotten older, I realize the name is now unique and refreshing. It's a name parents can now start another generation with to ensure the name continues. Judy means praised.

Sounds adorable, right? A good nickname for Judith, though as a standalone name it's not bad either. Truth is, I don't hear it often, it seems to be one of those old-fashioned names that haven't made a comeback, even though I'm seeing in the comments that people like it. I hope to hear it more often in the future!

Although this name was cute on Judy Garland it reminds me of Punch and Judy - The Punch and Judy show. I think they were puppets and as a child I didn't like puppet shows.
