This name is very nice and handsome. If you didn't grow up Hispanic then you would only associate it with the singer, but not the case for all Hispanics. Americans don't pronounce it correctly though, it's Ehn-REE-keh not ehn-REE-kay. I love both Enrique and Henry.

It just dawned on me that this is not the same name as Ricardo. Since both have the nickname "Ricky" in my head I just assumed they were the same name. One comes from Richard, the other from Henry/Heinrich. Fascinating.I must say I like how this sounds better than Henry, though as a non-Hispanic I do not think I could get away with using it on my own son.
I absolutely adore the name Enrique as it offers a Spanish twist to the equally noble anglophone version of Henry. Beautiful and absolutely charming.

Enrique Miguel Iglesias Preysler, known professionally as Enrique Iglesias, is a Spanish singer, songwriter, actor and record producer. He is widely regarded as the King of Latin Pop. Iglesias started his career in the mid-1990s on an American Spanish-language record label Fonovisa Records under the name Enrique Martinez, before switching to the stage name Enrique Iglesias and becoming one of the biggest stars in Latin America and the Hispanic market in the United States. By the turn of the millennium, he had made a successful crossover into the mainstream market and signed a multi-album deal with Universal Music Group for US $68 million with Universal Music Latino to release his Spanish albums and Interscope Records to release English albums. In 2010, he parted with Interscope Records and signed with another Universal Music Group label Republic Records to release bilingual albums. In 2015, Iglesias parted ways with Universal Music Group after a decade. He signed with Sony Music; his upcoming albums will be by Sony Music Latin in Spanish and RCA Records in English.
My name is Enrique and it is a curious name, in South America it is common as Henrique with H. Also, this name in Spain is called Quique and Enrique, and in some situations: Kike. I see this information in : http://www.significadodelosnombres.wiki
Enrique Jardiel Poncela (October 15, 1901 – February 18, 1952) was a Spanish playwright. In 1932-33 and 1934 he was called to Hollywood to help with the Spanish-language versions shot in parallel to the English-language films.
When me and my husband were dating we agreed we would name our first born son Enrique because Enrique Creel was the son of a man who founded an area known as Creelsboro in our home town. We frequented Creelsboro often as a dating couple and eventually married. We had a son and named him Enrique. Although we are not Spanish we loved the spelling of the name. We do however pronounce it En-rick. This has been confusing to some people. But the spelling of the name is so beautiful and the sound of both Enrique (original pronunciation) and Enrique (En-rick) our pronunciation is worth a little explanation to those who don't understand. We chose to pronounce it diffrently just for a little bit of originality.
Since Enrique Iglesias conquered the music charts, everybody can visualize my name when I say it outside Spain. I don't really like that, but I admit it is useful.
