Dot

I love Dot as a nickname, it’s adorable. Makes me think of a “Dippin Dot”. (Singular of Dippin Dots Ice Cream). Better than Dottie I think which means “off her rocker”.

My grandma went by this as a nickname for Dorothea. Everyone called her Dot or Dottie. I love this name, and loved Grandma Dot.

Reminds me of Dot and her twin sister from American Horror Story.

This just sounds silly as a name, I can't even imagine it on a person.

I always thought this was different in a nice way. Since every Dot I've met has been older, it's always nice to come across it in a sea of Marys and Cathies. It stands out.

Too simplistic. I can't imagine this as a legal name. But I have some fondness for it because of the character from Animaniacs.
