The only thing that keeps it from being a 10 for me is that I do see how a sensitive tween/teen could be embarrassed by Virginia and hate having it as her name. I think she'd get over it as she and her peers mature, though, so Virginia remains one of my favorites. It makes a terrific middle name, but I love it best as a first name. It's intelligent, elegant, and so pretty; I almost hate to hide away in the middle spot. My stock combo is Virginia Estelle.Alice Virginia is lovely and very strong. Edit- re: Virginia Estelle.
I just read your grandmother's name was Virgie Estelle. :) How funny. Apparently, many people think Virginia/Virgie and Estelle work well together. I know there was one (a Virginia Estelle) on the Titanic, too.
