I adore
Juliet and have considered it myself. The
Romeo thing has given me pause and let's face it, it's the obvious association. But when you think about it, if hearing "Where's
Romeo?" is the worst thing people can say, then that's not so bad. ;-)
I prefer
Juliet with my surname.
Juliette doesn't look as pleasant to me. I only pronounce
Juliette the French way if I see it paired with a known French surname (ex.,
Juliette Binoche).
I've never known a
Juliet although one of my friends has a neighbor by the name. Needless to say, it's very fresh in my mind. I don't feel it'll become too popular.
