The year is 2018. After being diagnosed with cancer in 2016, Percy lived just long enough to see Della open up her pottery studio, before passing peacefully in his sleep two weeks later. Three years earlier, Joy and Todd were surprised to find out that they were welcoming another baby girl, and now have both toddlers and teenagers in the house. Moira and Clem also got married that year, and had their honeymoon in Hawaii, where they originally got engaged. They loved it so much that they decided to move to Kailua, a suburb of Honolulu. A year later, Nate and Octavia had their first son, and a year after that, Moira and Clem adopted their second son. Cécile and Slim married and had a set of boy/girl twins, as Madeleine is starting school this year. Noemie met her fiancé while on a rock climbing trip through mutual friends, and both share a passion for the outdoors. Harrison married his girlfriend of three years, and had their first daughter this year, Julia is thrilled to be a grandmother! Linnéa met her ex-boyfriend while getting a political science degree, however their relationship started to go sideways when Linnéa found out she was pregnant. Although they tried to work things out, after their daughter was born, it became clear he was not putting in enough effort into being a good father, and Linnéa broke up with him.
