A year has passed in our lives and its has been blessed witht he birth of our first child; Benedict John. We chose the name Benedict after St. Benedict, the founder of Western Monastism and after the work I had been doing in Europe (read further on to understand).
In the months leading up to the birth Lilly and myself spent a few weeks in Europe while she attend confernces for4 work and I did some work restoring old furniture for a few Benedictine monasteries in Northern Italy.
My mother is pride of her newest grandchild and is very supportive of us. My brother, Father Raphael, conducted the baptism and my sister Lucy is godmother, Lilly's older brother Craig is the godfather.
