In May, Harper and I volunteered at a homeless shelter. We went every day for two weeks. It felt really good giving back to the comunity.

Harper and I traveled to the U.S. to visit my sister, Violet and her family. I saw my neice and nephew I hardly ever see and Harper met them for the first time. We had a great time and Harper loves the children.

This year Harper and I took a week long vacation to the Netherlands.

My sister Violet had her third baby this year! A girl named Livia Penelope. We took another trip to the U.S. to visit them. Baby Livi is such a cutie pie!

I received an award this year! In honor, Haper and I took a weekend vacation to Dublin!

We decided to finally start our family by adopting! In August we went to Russia to pick up our daughter Caroline Anya. She was 2 months old when we got her and is now 5 months. Her birthday is May 30. Caroline has curly blonde hair and brown eyes and a few freckles. We gave her the Russian name of Anya for her middle name. We are blessed for her to be part of our family.

As a child, Harper loved learning about Egypt. His lifetime goal was to go there someday and this year he accomplished that. He suprised me with plane tickets to Egypt. My parents watched Caroline while we took a nice, childless vacation =).

For Caroline's 2nd birthday, we gave her a cat we adopted from the Animal Shelter named Dot. Caroline absolutly loved her new kitty!

We tooka family vacation to France. It was Caroline's first time out of Ireland!

For his job, Harper went to Israel this year. Caroline and I stayed back and hung out.

I gave birth to our second daughter on April 6! She actually looks quite a lot like Caroline with curly blonde hair. She has blue eyes. We named her Wilhelmina Nicole - Wilhelmina after my dear mother who passed away the day our daughter was born. We call her Nicole. Caroline loves her baby sister a lot, but is very rough with her. We are so happy to have two children now!

Caroline is a very smart girl. She said she would like Dot to have a friend. So we were going to get another cat for the family, when she said, "No! Dot wants a goat friend!" We asked her why and she said, "He just likes goats,". Harper thought it was a great idea, so now we have a cat and a goat. Caroline named her Apple Blossom, as Apples are her favorite food.

We had the girls in daycare, but it was getting too expensive. It costs more than I earn, so I quit my job to stay home with them. Our family has had a tough year, and Harper and I considered getting a divorce. We knew we could work it out and decided against a divorce. I am not stressed out at all anymore and not busy. It has worked out great and we are one happy family again.

Harper got transfered so we had to move. Not far at all, only half an hour away from where we used to live, thankfully!

This year, we were blessed with faternal twin girls! Vera Ivy Jane and Violet Olivia. The girls look nothing alike. Vera has my straight brown hair like me and blue eyes like my mom, and Violet (named after my sister) has wavy black hair that comes from Haper's family, and green eyes like me. Now Harper and I have four beautiful daughters!

Harper received an award for discovering something about bacteria! I really don't know what that's all about. Caroline is in fifth grade and in the top of her class. Nicole is starting kindergarten and already showing signs of having trouble in school which she most definitely gets from me. Vera and Violet are lively little one-year olds. Violet has accomplished walking, while Vera, who must have gotten Haper's smarts talks all the time, but cannot walk yet.

Now that the twins are getting older, it's easier for us to take a vacation. Caroline, since she ws 7, wanted to visit Russia, so we took our family there. Caroline loved seeing where she was born and we even donated things to the orphanage where she was.

After the death of my dad this year, we decided to move. We were planning on moving for quite some time now, but we needed to stay very near to my father. So after he died, we moved to Britain, where Harper grew up. All the kids love it here. Caroline got teased for being to smart, Nicole got teased for not being smart enough, and Vera and Violet both love our new house with more room to play outside. It was perfect timing as the twins will be starting school at the same time as the other children. They won't be the "new kids" because nobody else their age knows anybody. Caroline and Nicole are both very outgoing, and won't have any trouble being the "new kids" in our new, wonderful town!
