We started in Nice, France.
Year One: Just after Violet and Charlie got married, they decided to adopt a kitten. They got a calico and named her Callie.
Year Two: Violet discovered she was pregnant just as she was finishing school. It was discovered it was to be fraternal twins! After eight months of an easy pregnancy, Violet gave birth naturally to two baby girls.

We travel to Florida to vacation in Disney World for a week. Lily and Sophia, now 5 and 3, love everything there, and they were amazed to meet their favorite characters.

Boy/Girl twins! Gabriel "Gabe" Lucas has brown curly hair and blue eyes. Abigail "Abby" Katherine has brown straight hair and hazel eyes. Lily and Sophia love playing with their little brother and sister.

We get a pet dog, who we decide to name Queenie. All the kids love their new pet.

It's a girl! Isabella "Bella" Patricia has wavy brown hair and hazel eyes. All the girls enjoy having another little sister, while Gabe and Liam are slowly warming up to the idea.

He was a newly minted anchor, mere months into his job, and she had recently graduated from law school. Valerie had won a pivotal case to protect Maori land rights, and Vince was supposed to cover a press conference in which she discussed the landslide accomplishment. After the conference, she and Vince struck up a conversation, in which she revealed plans to run for city council on a platform of humanitarianism and conservationism. Vince was smitten, asked her out for dinner, and the rest was history.
Year 1: Although Vince and Val have been dating for six years, each is too hesitant to propose marriage. Finally, Vince’s father Edward approaches his son, exasperated. “Look,” Ed says, “you love her. Your mum and I love her too, and would hate to see her go. For God’s sake, Vince, snatch her up before she slips away.” Ed was never an emotional man, so Vince takes his father’s sudden, sentimental words to heart. He decides to propose, but knows he needs an unconventional idea to convince Val. So, he purchases a cockatiel, trains it to say “Marry Me!” and ties a simple gold band around its leg. Finally, Vince shows the bird to Val. When it squawks its proposal, she tears up and accepts. Vince and Val marry three months later in a seaside ceremony.

Year 2: Val wants to begin a large family of her own. Not surprisingly, she grew up in a large family with four brothers and two sisters. Vince supports Val’s desire to conceive, but is flabbergasted to learn that she is pregnant with twins! Although Vince is shocked, Val expected it; twins run in her family. In fact, her brothers Paul and Simon were just one set of many twins throughout her extended family. At 35 weeks gestation, Val births Eloise Rachel and James William, who come home after a week in the NICU. Both twins look like Daddy, with blonde hair and brown eyes.

He decides to propose, but knows he needs an unconventional idea to convince Val. So, he purchases a cockatiel, trains it to say “Marry Me!” and ties a simple gold band around its leg. Luca and I wrote a book together this year! We were so inspired by Spain, so it's an adventure novel for pre-teens taking place in Spain. It hasn't been published...yet!

We don't have any children, though we would both like some, and it's a lot easier traveling without kids so we took another vacation. Luca told me he wanted to go to Costa Rica, so there we went! We had a really fun time and might just write another novel that takes place in Costa Rica!

I was laid off this year. Now, that only Luca's working, we are trying harder to get our book published so we earn some exra money. We also started working on another book to be the second in that series that takes place in Costa Rica!

Year One- Vacation
Tommy came home the other day and announced that we were "takin' a vacation." I thought he was crazy because we both know we don't have enough money for that. But he then he told me that his band found an agent who really likes their music and is going to fly them all out to Florida to record some music. I managed to switch schedules at the school with a friend of mine so I could go too. I'm so excited! I've never been out of the state before and it will be nice to have a vacation with Tommy.
Year Two- Job
So...I quit my job at the school today. I hated that job. Everyone there was mean and bossy and the boss was totally unfair. When I came home from work yesterday I was really stressed and worn out, so Tommy told me just to quit. He said we didn't need my job anymore anyways since he and his band would soon have a record label and be making more money than we could even spend. I don't know if that will happen or not, but I sure am glad I quit that job.
Year Three- Travel
We are in Japan! I would have never believed that I could be sitting in a fancy hotel in Tokyo, but here I am. Tommy's agent (who has also become their manager) managed to get them a record label and they've been booked solid playing shows for the last three months. The only problem is they've become popular in Japan, not the United States. But their manager says that's just how it works, that you have to become popular everywhere else in the world before the U.S. will pay attention to you.
Year Four- Go Back to School
I've decided to start taking the nursing program at the community college. Tommy's band hasn't been getting many shows since we came back from Japan. They are on tour right now throughout the midwest, but they're only playing in bars and church basements, so there isn't much money coming in from that. I figured if I become a nurse I can get a job at a hospital or nursing home and make some extra money to pay the bills.
