From the most noble house of Vigor,
In the mighty Kingdom of Lux.
The two years after the birth of Vilhelmina, the people of Lux were marked by a great feeling of optimism and excitement. But shortly after the new year after the eldest princess had turned four, terrible news reached the royal court. A great fire ravaged one of the largest border cities in the kingdom, killing dozens and displacing hundreds. King Christian immediately sent relief efforts and his own agents to try and discover how the fire had been started. It was found that the fire had been intentionally set by a corrupt official in parliament, who was immediately arrested, trialled and jailed for life.
Amidst this tragedy, Queen Elisabeth discovered that she is pregnant again, and there was greater excitement than previously, as she was carrying twins. The Queen carried the pregnancy to term and delivered boy/girl twins. The King rejoiced, as he finally had a well wished for son, Prince Maximilian, who was born second and perfectly healthy, but the first born, Princess Dorotea, was born well underweight. She pulled through, but the doctors warn that the princess may be weak all their life.
The King & Queen named their princess Dorotea, as she was truly a gift from God. Solveig, meaning 'sun strength' was also chosen as a mn as the meaning, like Dorotea, expressed how joyful they were that their daughter survived. Hildegard is after Lux's greatest author. Maximilian was named after the 3rd century martyr, Edvard is after King Christian.
