After Varinia’s difficult birth, Theobald and Fidelia were given orders from the royal physicians not to have any more children. They had their heir, so they complied. After two years, though, Fidelia was deemed strong enough to handle another pregnancy – and soon after, she was pregnant with Aloisia. Aloisia was soon followed by Rainer, their first son. These two births were easier than the first, and the empire has celebrated these additions to their royal family.
