From the
Royal House of Glorian
In the Empire of Lethia
Arianna was given strict orders by her physicians not to become pregnant for at least eighteen months, to give her weakened body time to heal and regain its strength.
Thomas and
Arianna were so enamoured of their daughter that they didn't mind having no more children for a few years. For a few months they abstained from all "intimate activity", but they began to miss that intimacy.
Arianna was breastfeeding
Rose, as was expected and traditional (who's milk better to nourish the future heir than the queen's, after all?), but they both knew that was an imperfect way to prevent pregnancy. There were brews other women told her about, but they were imperfect as well and most of them were of the kind to get rid of a pregnancy after it had already started. Finally
Arianna found something that was both safe and apparently effective: a vinegar wash. This, plus only infrequently indulging themselves, kept
Arianna from getting pregnant for over a year and a half. A few months before
Rose's second birthday the ban was lifted, and within five months
Arianna was pregnant again! This time the pregnancy was easy and
Arianna glowed. Everyone was excited when she gave birth to
Prince Lucian Zachary Tommaso Wynn, especially
Rose, who became a doting big sister right away. She is a brilliant and precocious toddler, and at nearly three she is already counting to ten and saying the alphabet and learnign many songs. She loves when
Arianna tells her stories and often makes up stories to go along with pictures. The kingdom celebrates the continuation of the royal line.
