Mario may be used as a masc. form of Mary, but it isn't. People just got confused over the etymology of it, and being that Hispanic countries are traditionally heavily Catholic and therefore venerate the Virgin Mary a lot, parents were quite eager to think that Mario was a masc. form of Mary.I would think Miguelangelo's just a combo of Miguel and Angelo too. Miguel is Spanish, but Angelo's Italian.Reilly is just another spelling of Riley; it's pronounced the same. Think Bill O'Reilly for an example of it as a surname.Rhett's in the database. Ryland's probably just a variant of Rylan, yes.Rey is Spanish for "king".Ryker's a variant of Riker (think William Riker from Star Trek: The Next Generation), but I don't know the meaning.That's all I know.Miranda
