I'm Jewish and my ancestors came from Central Europe (although not Hungary) so I'll give it a try.
I would prn. Ellike el-ikuh or el-ikeh. "eh" would be like in stEAk. Not like "bEEr" or "fAde". Not "ee" sound at all.
