Hi everyone!
With technical help from Katie Linero (https://ipa-reader.com/) there are now audio pronunciations for some of this site's names. They are actually computer-generated readings of the IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) pronunciations. At this point it is limited to English, Polish and Swedish names in the main collection but will hopefully expand soon. This search should reveal some of them:

You can listen by clicking on the IPA (between /slashes/) on the name's page. There will be a speaker icon in the top right of the popup if there is audio available -- click it to play. I intend to make this more accessible in the future.
There is audio for other languages too, but before they go on the site I would like to have a first-language speaker listen to some samples. IF you speak one of the below languages and would like to help, please send me a message. Thanks!
