I'm Russian and I've never heard of Yelenya before. The most common Russian nickname for Yelena is Lena. Even if Yelenya exists it's either extremely rare or archaic.
Sorry, but your sources don't seem trustworthy.
Some of the "names" mentioned in imya.com are profanities. Helena is not used in Russia at all.
