Richard -> Ricke, Rik, Rycke, etc.
I've seen the change from Rick to Dick, Hick, etc. explained as:
a) "the inability of the English to cope with the velar Norman R" --Hanks and Hodges
b) "rhyming nickname" --Withycombe
