Artti
Is Artti a form of Arthur? I'd assumed it was Estonian (as I heard it on an Estonian ski jumper, Artti Aigro), but after having a wee look on Google it seems that it's a) fairly uncommon (Aigro seemed to be the only person with the first name Artti on English or Estonian Wikipedia), and b) Finnish - some places say it's a form of Arthur, which is what I initially thought and which seems to make sense, one or two have come up with various other meanings. Can anyone say anything more definitive about its origin?Still und geborgen, frei ohne Sorgenhttp://www.behindthename.com/pnl/185597

It's possible that Artti is a variant of Arttu, which is the Finnish form of Arthur. When I first saw the name I instantly thought it was the Finnish form of Arthur and the names are too similar to be a coincidence. I go to this site, Nordic Names, which is all about Scandinavian names and according to it Artti does come from Arthur; it's also very rarely used according to the statistics below. I listed the link below.Hope that helps.
