Artti
Is Artti a form of Arthur? I'd assumed it was Estonian (as I heard it on an Estonian ski jumper, Artti Aigro), but after having a wee look on Google it seems that it's a) fairly uncommon (Aigro seemed to be the only person with the first name Artti on English or Estonian Wikipedia), and b) Finnish - some places say it's a form of Arthur, which is what I initially thought and which seems to make sense, one or two have come up with various other meanings. Can anyone say anything more definitive about its origin?Still und geborgen, frei ohne Sorgenhttp://www.behindthename.com/pnl/185597
