In spain, this is diffferent!
Hi,First off, I LOVE MY NAME! I feel it's classy and can't go out of style. Anyway, my mom is from Spain and my fatheris Cuban and I wanted to shed some light on this name in case this has not been manetioned perviouslyl. Did some of you know many girls named Elizabeth are nicknamed Ely. Now the funny thing is...it's pronounced "Ellie," like Ellie Mae.I've spoken to lots of gals who have been called this all their lives. I used to think it was cute, but now prefer ELizabeth. To this day, I know if it's a family member calling work becuase they let Ely slip instead of Elizabeth or Liz.
