My name book lists Tavia as a form of Octavia and this is how I've always heard of it.

Since I'm not familiar with Tovia I can't comment on that (is it related to Tova?).

Thanks! I was wondering about Octavia as well. I added that in and then read your message. That makes sense that it would be short for Octavia. I don't know if Tovia and Tova are related or not. I like both those names though. :P
