How to make a yet unique name to be officially recognized?
Greetings.I've recently encountered a really annoying stipulation - according to local naming policy one can't neither give a child a name that's not a known name (officially recognized and listed in name databases), nor take one willingly, when being of conscious age to undertake a name changing procedure. So, as chances of convincing the deciding board are really... not to be bet upon, I'd really appreciate your suggestions as to how name can be recognized by authorities (how to get it mentioned in various naming databases and such) prior to its (widespread) real-life usage.Thank you in advance.

I don't know which country you live in or what its exact laws are. I have gotten a few requests over the years from parents in Germany and Austria asking for help to prove that names were in use in the USA, so that the authorities in those countries would approve them. If you live in a country that accepts such data, and the name you are thinking of is used in English speaking countries, I am sure you could gather data on its use that you could present to the authorities. The name which I remember giving evidence for the most often in the past was Keanu.

As far as I know, there are only two ways to get the proper authorities to recognize it officially The first is to prove that it has been used on a person before in another country. If this is not the case, you could try to prove that it's a plausible variation of a recognized name. Other than those two options, I don't think it can be done.
