Biblically, all that I have gotten from the name was that Lydia was a lady who sold purple. Purple? Sometimes meaning faith, some say beauty.

I know Lydia is in the bible...Ezekial as a region in Asia Minor, but also in Acts of the Apostles as a woman's name. The meaning of the name would be helpful.
