Mine was put up, then taken down...?
I submitted Jessamy a while ago, and described it as a variant of Jessamine and an old word for jasmine, pronounced "JESS-uh-mee", which it is. It was put up pretty soon, then disappeared! The only remaining user-submitted Jessamy, last time I checked, is one which says it is a combination of Jess and Amy and pronounced that way. Which, fair enough, maybe there are one or two "Jess-Amy"s out there, but it's not the primary origin/usage of the name. If you look on Facebook, there's a group for the name Jessamy and the consensus there is that it comes from Jessamine/jasmine and rhymes with "sesame".That said.... Thank you very much, Mike C, for all the work you put into this fabulous website, which is a really great resource. Sorry to be a complainer, just thought there may have been an arror somewhere (or maybe I'm missing something!). Your work is appreciated.

Ah, I've just noticed there's another user-submitted Jessamy, although it calls it "Medieval English", which it may be as a word, but not as a name. I guess I'll just try putting up my version again.

Did you submit your Jessamy anonymously? The 'medieval English' one has been edited. Could it have been your one originally? If it was and you disagree with what they've said or can add to it, you should edit the entry.

No, that one definitely wasn't mine. But I've re-submitted it, so hopefully that will work :)
