*guffaws* Um, no.1) People use names from other cultures in stories / plays they write all the time.2) The Wiki article you provided doesn't say that the play is Russian anyway. The author of the original story was German, and the creators of the ballet were French (although one did work for a Russian ballet company).

ThirdSomeone from Eastern Europe would have a better understanding of what is and isn't Russian than someone who doesn't.Honestly: If you're corrected on the board it means that you're wrong. It's a rare thing and it's only done by people who understand what they're talking to.
