I have the family name of Lynn. I really like to use names to honor family. But I love the name Rosalyn which is not a family name. I understand that they are both different names. However, I was wondering if the Lyn in Rosalyn possibly derived from the name Lynn? Could the name Rosalyn still be used to honor a family name of Lynn?
