There was an article in the paper today about some of the urban legends that are being spawned after the disasters. Some people believe that 11 has special significance - the attacks occurred on Sept 11 on the 254th day of the year (2+5+4=11), Flight 11 was the first plane to crash, and the two towers of the WTC resembled an 11.
Other legends include reports of a giant face of Satan in the billowing smoke and a police officer who surfed a piece of debris down one of towers as it collapsed and survived. The article also talked about Nostradamus, and how some of the recently-cited quatrains don't even exist in his writings.
