It's tacky to me. The kind of wannabe-western name that parents give who have never been out West, never been out in the country, never met an actual Indian but think they're being all multicultural. *rolls eyes*
You very rarely see actual Indians giving their kids the names of tribes. Same as you don't see white people calling their kids Russian or English.

ah actually I saw a little white girl named English, and one spelled Englysh, it was odd. You do make a lot of sense though.
