Um . . . in what country and according to whom was it "very popular" in the period 1860-1900?It didn't even make the Top 1000 in the US between 1880 and 1900, which, given that the name pools were similar in all English-speaking countries, makes it highly unlikely that the name was "very popular" during that time period.It was slightly popular in the 1940s.
