Out of curiosity, has anyone encountered anyone named this before The Golden Compass (UK: Northern Lights... I think) was published? I've heard of couples considering it afterwards, but don't know if they followed through.
It's appeared in a few other books/series--The Riddle-Master of Hed being one--but I also don't know if any aren't scifi/fantasy.
I like the name, a lot; the character from that book is a good one, and the constellation is a particular favorite. It's simple, and sounds classy--not like a random concoction of syllables. I'd even consider using it if it doesn't become massively trendy, which I could see happening.
(Note: I'm not planning on naming any kids soon.)
