Sibset Anagrams
I was talking to a co-worker the other day about her and her partner's children--between them they have 5 girls (11-year-old triplets, a 9-year-old, and a 5-year-old). She was saying how they hate to write out all the girls' names when signing Christmas cards, etc., so sometimes they sign their names and then "The Fab Five". :b I suggested using an anagram of their first initials (couldn't think of one off the top of my head) and she said they already sometimes do that as well--C.A.M.E.O. :) Chloe, Alexandria "Allie", Madison, Emily, & Olivia. The last 3 are the triplets, btw.
Then I was watching a movie tonight called C.R.A.Z.Y. (a very good one, btw), about a French-Canadian family in the 1960s and 70s. The title--relating to the Patsy Cline song that was also a part of the story--spelled out the first initials, in order, of the five sons in the family. They were Christian, Raymond, Antoine, Zachary "Zac", and Yvan. I don't know why a sibling anagram never occurred to me before, but I think it's kind of a cute idea. As long as it's not terribly obvious, and the word's not in bad taste. Like "crazy" probably wouldn't be my first choice, but apparently it wasn't done on purpose with this family. :b
What do you guys think about this? Good or bad idea? No opinion?
And hypothetically--just for fun, only if you wanna, LOL--what would your anagram be? (If this part needs to be moved to the games board, just let me know.)

I suppose maybe those aren't the best of things to spell out! Well, Mike's okay. We could consider that honouring. ;)

When I was younger I always tried to mke up anagrams for my nams, mainly tryng to spell the longest words I could so that I could have tons of kids :P
ACTUALLY, now that I remember, my siblings, including my step brother are and anagram! Well backwards, Corey beig the youngest and I'm he oldest, Alex is my step brother
Corey
Alex
Ryan
Samantha
C.A.R.S
I first thought of this with my best friend when she was over my house a few years ago, her name being Alyssa...
But my anagram would be...umm
NICE - Nicolas, Isaiah, Chloe and Eloise

I have been searching unsuccessfully to find one I had from the summer. I was just making combos for a Top Four type post, and I realized afterwards that they were an acronym.
Overall, I wouldn't start out naming them with the intention of completing a word -- too many variables: number of kids, gender of kids, etc.
But I don't think it's completely terrible. If parents simply must name their kids with a theme, something random like an acronym would get my support because it's not immediately obvious.
IIRC, and just thinking on names I like now, mine was probably HOMES - Henry, Oliver, Miles, Elliot, Stephen. :)

Yeah, it would work best if you either 1) had multiples or 2) made a word out of their initials after they were born without anything specifically in mind. You'd have to make sure to have at least a couple of vowels, though. LOL.
that's kinda cute actually.
my kids would spell Charlotte.River.Agnes.Brooklyn.Beatrix = CRABB. lol

None of your kids would spell? :-/ Hope that's a typo, lol. Crabb is at least better than Crab, so maybe you'll have 5, or 3, but not 4. :b
it was a typo lol
