There's a town not too far from where I live called Eudora, and we compete against their high school in sports and other competitions. So it's not really a person name to me-- it's a small town, and it brings to mind images of cardinals (because that's their high school's mascot).
Putting that out of mind, though (because my association with the name most likely won't affect you, anyways), I think it has a nice, pleasant sound to it, and I think the meaning's lovely. It may be a bit "old-ladyish," but I think that's half the charm (the other half is that it's unusual and not heard very often). So it gets a thumbs up from me. :-)

I understand completely about the highschool. That's kind of funny. A town near me has a common woman's name, and I can never disasociate the name from the town.
