wdyto Greer?

Greer, I can handle, because--well, c'mon, Greer Garson. Can't say no to that.
Grier looks like it should rhyme with "crier" and not "leer," though. It doesn't make sense to me as a spelling. And Grear just looks misspelled and greasy.

Name of a fairly large city in SC where I did my student teaching...to me, it's like name a kid Indianapolis, Boston, or Syracuse. Also, the surname of the head of the voice dept. where I went to college.

I really love this name, though I only realy like it spelled Greer. I like that it's a little harsher than most girls' names. Flowery isn't always best.
It's not very pretty or feminine sounding to me, it's quite harsh. I don't find this as horrible as other surnames like Mackenzie and Mackenna though.
agree.
Sorry, to me it's ugly and mannish seeming.

Ditto
I like Grier better.
It is my niece's middle name (spelt this way) and I absolutely love it. I think some people might find it a bit 'harsh' for a girls name but I don't think it is at all.
It's one of my best friend's names. I only like it spelled Greer.
