DH and I(ln Vaughan)are expecting a baby in late
September, gender unknown. As I've said before, if we have a girl, I'd like to honor my late maternal grandmother,
Agnes. One name I've fallen in love with is
Oona, which according to several sources is an Irish variant of
Agnes. (DH and I both have Irish roots, so this is particularly appealing.) I fell in love with this name years ago, but when I mentioned it to my parents, they weren't exactly fond of it. Alot of people seem to dislike this name, and I'm curious why this is. Please tell me what you think of the name
Oona, and why.
Thanks in advance,
~*carrie*~
By the way, one combo we're considering is
Oona Violet Marie (all family names).
