Emelyn
I came across the adorable name "Emelyn Story" the other day, in a very unlikely place: inscribed on a beautiful Victorian monument that is quite famous. Perhaps you know it, too: The Angel of Grief, or the Weeping Angel (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angel_of_Grief). This was the original, in Rome, but it has been copied in many cemeteries all over the world. It was a headstone sculpted for the wife of the artist William Wetmore Story.Emelyn was born in 1820 and died in 1894, but her name feels very modern. "Emelyn Story" sounds like the perfect name for a hipster preschooler, and while normally I wouldn't care for it, the fact that it's connected to a much earlier time period AND a beautiful piece of morbid artwork means I have an official crush on Emelyn. It's one of those "anachronistic timeless" names you come across sometimes, bizarre surprises like Tiffany, Allison, Chloe, Brice, Brendan, Brogan, etc. Names that are actually quite old but feel like fluffy modern confections.WDYT of Emelyn?
