Mary names
The other day, someone mistakenly called me Mary, which surprised me because I've never been mistaken for a Mary. It made me think about the name. In the past, I haven't thought much about Mary because it's been such a common name that it doesn't feel very name-like to me anymore. After giving it thought, I think it's pretty, but still not a name I'd probably use. However, I do like some of its variations, which makes me wonder:What are your favorite Mary variations?
Here's a link to the family tree if you're like me and want to reference it: https://www.behindthename.com/name/mary/tree (:

Mary by itself is on my PNL. I think it is sweet and classy, but rarely see it used on children anymore, so to me it doesn't seem common now.Marie

Mary and Maria are both family names, and I like them both about equally. I've used Mary as a mn because it worked better than Maria with the other names for that daughter.
I also like, in no particular order, Moira, Marianne, Mhairi (which I wouldn't use because of pronunciation issues), Mariel, Rosemary and Polly, though not Molly for some reason.
I find a lot of Mary variations to be very pretty and feminine. Here is my list.Manon
