I just spotted this name on a youngster, maybe about 5 years old, on a social media account. The account is kind of quirky so maybe that is giving the name a bit more personality, but still, I decided I loved seeing Erwin on a kid.
The spelling is a bit different for me - if I heard this name I think I'd instinctively write it as "Irwin". But upon further reflection I think the Erwin spelling is better, it feels a bit more useable in today's world, maybe because it's so similar to Edwin.
