I don't really care for it.
Unless it's pronounced EHR-win and not UR-win - like Eric.
I like the spelling Irwin for UR-win, a whole lot more. It looks smarter and seems more manly to me.
Erwin seems dorky and annoying to me, for no reason I can name.
Ervin would be much more appealing to me.
