I think I tend to like long names. I think that to be able to have it formal for a wedding is nice and then you can have a nickname. My kids are all 3 syllables plus. I would prefer Gwendolyn and calling her Gwen or Kathrine and calling her Kate or Rebecca and calling her Becca. Gianna could be G or Gia, not much you can do if your named Jo and don't like it... Isabel could be Izzy Bell or something else. Not that I don't like short names but I like when they can sound formal. I do like Beau although I would likely spell it Bo for family reasons. I'm trying to think of another short name I like. Emmeline, Evelyn are favorites of mine. Anne might be a favorite short name. I'll have to think if there are others
