I like Bronwen. It's one of very few Br-names that I like.
I do not like Bronwyn. I'm not sure if that's because the spelling is wrong ... it doesn't seem stupid, exactly, just desexed and faux-Welsh, miss-the-mark, if I bother to think about it. It's worse than Camryn, because it looks like someone thought it was correct. Camryn is obviously on purpose.
I think I just like the -en ending better, though. I also like Gwendolen, and dislike Gwendolyn.
I know of one Bronwen, a friend of a family member, who lives in Oregon. I think of her name as spelled Bronwen, but it might in fact be Bronwyn. I'd rather not know if it is.
