I prefer the look of Bronwen. I have met several, my dentist is Bronwynne.

I like both. I also like both Gwendolen and Gwendolyn. I dislike Elowyn and prefer Elowen, though.

Bronwen is lovely and bronzed. Bronwyn looks dumb.

I prefer the Bronwen spelling, as it's the original; I love Welsh names!! I do know one Bronwyn, who is my age; she's a wonderful lady, lol.

My great grandmother was Welsh and was bilingual speaking both Welsh and English fluently. I have always preferred Bronwen to Bronwyn and Olwen to Olwyn. There is also Anwen, Branwen which are feminine and Alwyn which is masculine.

I don't much like Bronwen: nothing wrong with it, but it lacks interest. I knew a large, loud, unappealing one at school. Bronwyn is ludicrous.

I used to not like either name, but the "One of Us is Lying" books might have made me soft on them. Bronwyn looks okay but Bronwen looks more approachable and official somehow, even tomboyish.

I wouldn't call Bronwyn "stupid" at all, though I prefer the Bronwen spelling myself. It's a strong name without being too harsh (and it helps if you like the letter N).

Back in college I knew a Bronwyn (the only one I've ever met). Upon graduation, from the calling of names & our programs, I learned her name was Bronwyn Rebecca. Honestly, I think that's a great combo.

I like Bronwen. It's one of very few Br-names that I like.
I do not like Bronwyn. I'm not sure if that's because the spelling is wrong ... it doesn't seem stupid, exactly, just desexed and faux-Welsh, miss-the-mark, if I bother to think about it. It's worse than Camryn, because it looks like someone thought it was correct. Camryn is obviously on purpose.
I think I just like the -en ending better, though. I also like Gwendolen, and dislike Gwendolyn.
I know of one Bronwen, a friend of a family member, who lives in Oregon. I think of her name as spelled Bronwen, but it might in fact be Bronwyn. I'd rather not know if it is.

Not a huge fan. I much prefer the look of Bronwyn oven Bronwen though.

Both spellings are legit in Wales.

Bronwyn with a "y" is the male spelling and Bronwen with an "e" is the female version.

Unfortunately, I'm seeing a lot of North Americans not following the gender rules of the Welsh culture. It's one of my pet peeves. If you're going to appropriate a name from a specific culture that isn't your own, people should respect that culture when it comes to spelling and pronunciation.
