Urania was given (in a throwaway moment) as the name of a minor character in the Henry James novel I'm reading, and I think I love it! I'm obviously aware of all of the negative/distracting associations but am not bothered by them. I also prefer this to the original Ourania, which sounds too much like a toponym or demonym to me (like Iranian), and enjoy the nickname Rainy. Does anyone else appreciate Urania's oddball glamor?
Some combos, duh:
Urania Maud(e)
Urania Helen
Urania Clemence
Urania Sibyl
Urania Constance
Urania Florence
Urania Alice
Urania Lilith
Urania Phoebe
Urania Laure
Urania Blythe
Urania Beatrice/Beatrix
Urania Agnes
Urania Gladys
Urania Phyllis
Urania Sylvie
