I'd never in a million years have come up with Conor as a nn for Cornelius...kind of like how my bio-relatives came up with Mac as a nn for Malcolm. :o) I love nns with precedent! :oD Sure beats my coming up with Neil as a nn for Cornelius, lol.

Neil as a nn for Cornelius makes perfect sense to me; more sense, frankly, than Conor. Because at my house, at least, name-derived nn's are generally based on the most-emphasized spoked syllable, as in Soph for Sophia. So Neil for Cornelius is perfect, and I also really like Mac for Malcolm, though for sentimental reasons Mal remains my fave nn for Malcolm.~Lillian~
