Re: Sahara and Mojave: feedback?
I'd rather see Kalahari than Mojave. But then, Mojave's hard to say, lol. :) And Sahara and Kalahari are both on the same continent. But on the other hand, Sahara and Mojave match better. In any case, I like the idea of Sahara Sands--I think it has a very melifluous sound.Rhiannon and Riordan~ The fact that I don't like either one leads me to say no, hehe.
Scarlett and Indigo~ If they're both girls, yeah. I can't see Indigo as particularly masculine, being a devotee of Amy Ray and Emily Saliers of the Indigo Girls. :D
Socorro and Sirocco~ *attempts to surreptitiously sneak in a C*
Sophia and Sabio~ Sabio looks a bit too much like Fabio for me--and I prefer the real deal or none at all. ;) I love Fabio, ha.
Claire and Connor~ Clare and Conor would appeal far more to me--funny how taking away a letter makes me like a name.Of the combo-y twins, Jed and Mercy appeal most to me, and after them, Eddo and Very Belle. :)Array

Thanks for thatMojave's not hard to say, you silly! moHAHvay. Easy! Kalahari sounds too much like Matahari to me, which therefore in my arbitrary logic makes Kalahari feminine, but I'm trying to name the boy with this one. So Mojave it is!And given my own argument here, I understand how you feel about Indigo. Since it's only a word name and therefore assigning either gender is relatively arbitrary, I think of it as masculine mainly because it ends in O! *LOL*And I know how bad you want the C, but I told you I'm still pronouncing it your way, I just think these spellings are nicer together. They're quite alphabetically well-matched!As for Sabio, it means wise, at least according to one source I have, so I feel that makes it an excellent match for Sophia. The letter-droppin thing also makes me laugh, talk about arbitrary! *LOL* No accountn for taste, not anybody's.I figured you'd like Jed and Mercy. Eddo and Very Belle I just created for Bex two days ago. :D~Lillian~

Well, Mojave looks hard to pronunce, then, and that's good enough for me. ;) Oh, well. The second set can be Kalahari and Gobi or something.I'm absolutely ridiculous when it comes to spelling changes. I find Eleanor boring and Elinor almost horrific, but I love Elenor and Elenore. Claire seems snotty, but Clare's independent and classy. Connor's trendy, Conor's Oberst. :D And Edmund's a bit poncy and too Narnia (much as I love The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe), but Edmond? Totally hot. And not just because they use The Count of Monte Cristo in V for Vendetta. (...Okay, exactly because of that. But c'mon, Edmond!)The only thing about Eddo that I dislike is the combo itself. ^^;;; With such a cool nickname, he needs something a bit snazzier than Edward Oliver, especially when sitting next to something as flashy as Verity Arabella. Edgar and Verity feel better to me (or perhaps I just love Edgar far too much), personally, or Edmond and Verity....Oh, and it strikes me that Lorelei Leilani sounds like she could be good friends with Roseanne Roseannadanna. I like Lorelei Leilani's repetition, even if I don't actually like Lorelei.Array

Gobi? Not! *LOL*It's reminding me of Goober!I like Edmund and Edmond, but never Edgar. And I don't care much for any spelling of Eleanor.Edward Oliver and Verity Arabella were generated from one of Bex's short lists of choices a few days ago. Y'know, she's been posting lists of 15 or so male and female choices and asking us to pick just from those. Edward and Oliver were the only two I really liked from that list, and in order to maximize their impact I created Eddo on the spot. Glad you like it.As for Roseanne Roseannadanna... Probably no one's even noticed that I didn't, I suppose lots of other people didn't jump on that bandwagon either, but I specifically did not invite list-bashing as so many have lately, because I love my choices too much to submit them to such harsh punishment. And you, my dear, are one of the very main ones I know could cheerfully and wittily shred my beloved names! *mock sob* I was specifically avoiding your razor sharp commentary! *LOL*~Lillian~
