How do you feel about Carina for a girl? It's one of my top girl names, and I love how gentle (yet strong) it sounds. I tend to prefer a C to a K, but do you prefer Karina instead? I think that this would be a cool alternative for Karen, if you feel the meme associations are too high. Also, I love how Carina has a celestial association!
