We had originally planned to name our third and last child, Marigold: n/n Goldie. I loved the name but had terrible reactions from every single one of my family members. My sister pronounced it in the most unpleasant tone of voice, "Maree-Gould?!" The way her face twisted in disgusted and the ugly way she pronounced what I thought was such a beautiful sounding name has been heavy on my brain. Keep in mind, I don't love their taste in names, still, it gave me pause.

Will Marigold's name leave a bad impression? I want to give our daughter the best chance in life. My husband and I also like the name, Stella, which unfortunately is highly ranked it my state. The name Stella is well liked so far by people that I've shared it with. I think we could name our daughter, Stella Marigold.
