Selah
I love the name Selah, but I prefer it as a boy name. Though I know that it's more commonly used as a girl name currently there have been plenty of male historical figures who bear the name. One of the big examples is Selah Strong - the husband of Anna Strong. Selah is one of my top names for a son, though I am worried about others automatically calling it out as a girl name even though it has (again) been used as a male name as well. I love the name though and I want to use it, I'm just worried that my hypothetical son may get some flack for it.

It doesn't sound like a name to me.
I agree with wheelbarrow4! It's a musical term.
It's ok for a girl
Who cares if someone calls it out as a "girl name"? This is a gender neutral name. You should use a name you love and that makes you happy.
I love the name Selah! I agree that people may assume that it’s a girl’s name at first, I think it’d be fine to use for a son as well. Like someone else said, you could use it as a middle name to be safe.

I think it’s a great name too, but much prefer it for a girl and have only ever heard it for a girl. I think most people would assume that Selah was a girl, so maybe you could use it as a mn for a boy instead? Saves any hassles, but you still get to use it.
