Oh, on the Chinese mn thing, I would only do it if it is important to you or your dh. I'm sensing that it isn't really all that important. For what it's worth, I have a friend whose parents came to the U.S. from China. They gave her the mn of Wan-Qing ("wahn-CHING") meaning "ever young and green/youthful." She's now given that mn to her dd Emily. I think it's pretty cool, but don't force it if it doesn't feel right.
