Re: Nickname for myself
I have a cousin with the same name as you, but spelled different, and she mostly goes by her full name. She also goes by Callie (sorry), or just Cal. I'm surprised to hear Lia has problems because that's a very simple name... and, honestly, even basic names like Sara will sometimes be misheard when ordering out or whatever. Hell, give them a fake name if it's that troublesome. When I lived in Miami a lot of the local food places had staff whose first language was something other than English and most of them had a lot of trouble with my name, Tabitha, so I was Cat (as in Tabby Cat) for a lot of deliveries.Other places know me as Talitha or Tanith because they misheard Tabitha. But it's just food delivery so I don't bother correcting because it doesn't matter. Just choose a name you like and use that. Use a different name for each restaurant. Do whatever you want, live your best life, be whoever you want to be lol

Lia often times gets written as Leah and then pronounced like 'Lay-uh'. I know whatever I choose is bound to get butchered at some point but I'd just like something more permanent and identifiable to fall back on.I am toying with the idea of using a fake name (like Anya or Carla), but I kind of have impostor syndrome so it feels a little presumptuous of me to call myself by a name that's not at least somewhat related to my real name. At least then I can say 'well it comes from X part of my name' lol.
